Dog Parks

There are lots of great dog parks in San Diego County. We focus on the parks that have off-leash hours for dogs to run free and interact with one another. Dogs are pack animals and are very social by nature. Dogs that interact with other dogs and people on a regular basis are typically less aggressive and better adjusted to domestication which is one reason why off-leash dog zones are so important to the community. Since this is Encinitas Dogs, we are only listing the parks that are in Encinitas proper which includes the communities of Encinitas, Leucadia and Cardiff. On-leash dogs are allowed at most parks in Encinitas during regular park hours. So again, the parks and hours listed below are specifically for off-leash play. Most parks in the area will allow leashed dogs at all times. For information on other parks in the county visit the PADZ website.
